I was looking for information about white tongue last night and was led to a site with a line of products that are supposed to take care of the nasty tongue stuff and bad breath, among other things. Sounds pretty great but um... has anyone here tried those products? If so, could you tell me how much they helped and if there were any side effects?

Are you referring to the plaque that is on your tongue? If so all you need to do is brush your tongue with a toothbrush or go buy a tongue cleaner or sometimes call tongue scraper. Use it everyday and the plaque on your tongue should be under control. No mouth wash will get rid of stuff on your tongue unless it's RX. If it's plaque, you need to mechanically remove it.
