HI everyone! I have had a knot on the lower to middle right hand side of my head that seems to be getting larger. It hasn't always been there- I am guessing close to a year. I have headaches more often than usual but I also have more stress in my life now than I have in the past. I was just wondering if anyone else has ever developed a knot and wondered if I should have it checked out. Thanks for your input.

Hello there, I know that it's been close to a month since your posting and I can't fathom that it's been this long and you have not been to the doctor as of yet. However if you have not I suggest that you do, if nothing more than to give yourself some since of relief. Lumps are tricky and you never want to underestimate their presence, I have had a benign tumor on my left frontal lobe for over 10yrs when I first noticed it. Although I have had several doctors tell me that it is just abnormal growth the fact that is there is bothersome to me and not a day goes by that I do not recognize its presence. Since it is not cancerous I would not consider messing with it but like I said I touch it everyday because it is abnormal and the human mind never really adjusts to foreign objects in and on the human body.

Hi from a fellow lump. Ask MD to check for colloid cyst which represents in third venticle of brain on CT. Are you having excess mucus? Aside from headaches, do you have any other symptoms. Check out cysts and depression on internet. Don't get surgery, they can rupture unless MD is experienced. How about your hormones, have you had levels checked? Good luck.

You have lymph nodes on the back of your head so this could also indicate a lymph gland infection, or infection in another part of your body which has caused the lymph node to swell. If it is sore that is more of an indication that you are dealing with some type of infection (possibly sinus since you are also having the headaches).
