Sponsor Doppler4000 12-27-2004, 07:21 PM If a dentist said you need a root canal, then that's what you have to do to feel better and save the tooth. Maybe you can pay on a credit / payment plan rather than all at once. Or maybe you can find a dental school, clinic, etc. that would do it for less money? If you wait too long, you could lose that tooth. Extractions are cheaper, but definitely NOT the way you want to handle this problem. Palter 12-28-2004, 09:25 PM Erin has the worst toothache, but presently has no money to save the tooth with a root canal treatment. I think Erin's only option is to extract the tooth as soon as possible to get rid of the pain and prevent an acute episode from becoming a full-blown infection. Erin may not want to lose the tooth, but given the circumstances, Erin really has no choice now. Later on, when finances are better, Erin could consider an implant replacement, or a fixed bridge. Palter lateeth 12-29-2004, 12:16 AM Erin, if you have a dental school near you it would be less expensive. They do root canals there. If you are destitute (really no money) then, depending on the state you live in it might be covered at little or no cost. If you have earnings, you might be able to work out a payment plan. |
