i've been diog. with emphasema(spelling) and my doctor gave me steroid inhalers called Ad-Air or something like that. But they give me the worst cramps at night time. they're the worst cramps i have ever had and they are mostly on the bottom of my feet and in my hands. sometimes i can't even hold a spoon or fork when i get these things. I was wondering if anyone else has had these ploblems. I have since quit taking the inhalers but i need to ask my doc for something.

Are you a tobacco smoker? If so the best thing you can do is quit smoking or this lung and breathing problem is only going to get worse. This disease cant get cured but there are many things that can help it.

Did they also check on your magnesium level?Very low mag levels can cause some really nasty muscle spasms and actual contortions of certain body parts. This happened to my son while he was battling a very nasty illness.I am assuming that if they thought to check your potassium that they also did your mag level? If not, they really do need to.My son was put on higher doses of magnesium and in a couple days, was back to normal and without the muscle spasms.Marcia

i'm quite sure they checked my mag level too. Ill double check with my doc tho. to make matters worse, since i've stop taking the steroid inhalers, i'vr developed what feels like small stones or peebles on the metarsul area of my feet. the doc said "metatarsaliga" and he wants to operate on my feet to reshape the metatarsal joints. I'm not too sure of his diagnosis.. thanks for the info...i'll keep on searchingtrying to find something.robbie

I use an inhaler and have had cramps in the bottom of my feet, especially at night. I started taking magnesium for something else, and don't ya know my feet haven't cramped since!
