Just wondering if anyone has had a temp sensitive tooth that never progressed to a full blown toothache. One of the fillings I had replaced over 5 months ago is still very temp sensitive, but otherwise I don't have any other problems with it. The endo said that it looks fine on the x-ray, but if I have any temp change on the tooth it is a pretty intense pain for about 10-15 seconds. The other had to have a root canal due to it being too close to the nerve, which showed up on the x-ray.

Well, I had the crown impression made for the tooth that had the root canal. I had to actually be numbed up to have it done, because of the temp sensitivity. I had been thinking that the sensitivity was coming from the tooth next to the rc'ed one, but since the temporary crown was placed on the treated one, I haven't had any pain whatsoever. I'm beginning to wonder if this tooth, even after the root canal, has been the one causing the pain. It doesn't hurt now that it is covered with the temporary crown. I don't know whether to go ahead and have the permanent one put on and if I do, what are the chances it will flare up. Guess I will have to call the endo back and see if I may need a retreatment. Any ideas?
