When I think of Sclerosis I think of MS or ALS amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (the Lou Gherrigs Disease).
The correct definition of the word is:
scle·ro·sis ( P ) Pronunciation Key (skl-rss)
n. pl. scle·ro·ses (-sz)
A thickening or hardening of a body part, as of an artery, especially from excessive formation of fibrous interstitial tissue.
A disease characterized by this thickening or hardening.
Botany. The hardening of cells by the formation of a secondary wall and the deposition of lignin.
Now if we take that into consideration that I would assume that it is the hardening of the Sacroiliac Joint.
The Sacroiliac Joints are located at the bottom of the back. You have one either side of the spine. The Sacroiliac joints help make up the rear part of the pelvic girdle and sit between the sacrum and the ilia.
One disease or condition that best describes what you are referring to is Ankylosing spondylitis and Pagets Disease to name a few.
I think the reason you couldn't find what you were after is because you spelled it incorrectly. Use the term I used above to do your research if needed.
Being that you didn't get a dx other than the sclerosis that you indicated, I'd question the doctor if you didn't in fact have something larger going on such as AKS unless you have already been diagnosed with it.
