Hello minmin630,
I've been off my meds for nearly two weeks and still have the shakes on and off, but i'm getting better. The dizziness has stopped though, but had it for a little while after stopping the meds. Apparantly its the side effect from the Dexmethsone - were you taking this? This is the Australian name - it's a quarterzone/steroid drug.

Happy healing everyone - i know i'm over it - it's four weeks almost and my throat is still sore - not as bad, but i had a sore throat for 2.5 months before they discovered i had chronic tonsillitis!!! so have been putting up with a sore throat now for way too long.

kristi32-
No the pain medicine that I have been on was Tylenol 3 with codeine. I am only a week post-op and have been off the medicine for 4 days. I have had the shakes, dizziness and nausea following my drastic drop in pain medicines. It is good to know that somebody else experienced the same thing as I did. I had dr's,nurses, family and freinds telling me that the sudden stop of medicine couldn't make me that sick but It was the only thing that could make sense. Well thankyou for the naswer I greatly appreciate it!
