Hi, I'm very paranoid as you can see by the subject lol.
I just want to know, i was making biscuits, and had a big blob of dough left. so as not to waste it, i ate it...... can biscuit dough kill you in large quantities due to rising yeast? thx:/

How much did you eat? I suppose it could rise in your stomach but I think that you would have to eat a large amount. Think about eating a huge meal like at Thanksgiving. That is usually a large amout of food and I think that you probably did not eat that much. You might get a stomach ache from the shortening. Funny, the things people will eat. :jester: :)

I just had to post to you too because.......WHAT WERE YOU THINKING? You cracked me up! It's ok to let some things go to waste. Let us know how your stomach takes the raw dough. On a serious note...I do hope your ok.

lol yeah i know, i feel pretty dumb.. But hey it tasted pretty good... I wouldnt mind just throwing it away, i just figured, i dunno.. cant hurt.... OH CRAP IT CAN! lol. i ate just about 1 1/2 biscuits worth:)

If biscuit dough will kill, then I should have died 60 years ago. We always ate leftover dough and it did not bother us when we were kids and in later life too.
Would not make it a practice, but the amount you ate was just a nice tasty treat!!

it's true, too much sugar can overload your pancreas and result in organ failure...

I would have to say that it is unlikely that one would die from eating raw dough. My momma would give me a raw biscuit each time she would open a can to bake to hold me over. I got to liking them a bit to much and use to eat an entire can raw while watching Sat morning cartoons.
As for the sugar I use to eat packc of that candy from back in the day that had a stick you dipped into the different flavor sugar and lick off. I was a super hyper child and to the day still alive and kicking.
