Hi everyone,
I was really glad to find this resource ... I was beginning to think I was the only one with weird unexplained symptoms but now I see I'm not alone.

Has anyone experienced or heard of full-body tremors paired with insomnia and other sleep problems?

My problems started two months ago when I was awakened in the middle of the night with numbness all over and chills. This happened three times within a week. After that I would wake up early every morning around 4 am and couldn't get back to sleep. I would start to doze off and then awake with a start, heart racing, or weird muscle jerks.

I started having muscle spasms, numbness and twitches that would move throughout my body. One day it would be my eyelids, one day my mouth, and then one in my right forearm that lasted for two weeks. The spasms and numbness pretty much subsided, but have been replaced by constant tremors in all the small muscles in my body i.e. they are most noticeable in my hands and fingers. But, when other "minor" muscles are stressed I feel the tremors there also. The tremors are minor and don't affect my overall coordination or dexterity, but it feels like I'm always shaking.

Blood test, chest/neck x-rays and EKG came back fine. Doc prescribed Ambien for sleep (has helped some) and Zoloft for stress/anxiety (He thinks this may cause the tremors but I'm not convinced).

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.
