hopeful 06-12-2001, 01:59 AM Anyone know what the symptoms are with, Orthostatic Hypotension? Kamden 07-01-2003, 08:35 PM Most people experience some faintness, light headedness, dizziness confusion or blurred vision when they get out of bed abruptly or stand after sitting for a long time. Fatigue, exercise, alchohol or a heavy meal can make the symptoms worse. This can usually be diagnosed if the blood pressure falls significantly when standing and returns to normal when lying down. Hope this helps you. Zazzaz 10-05-2003, 09:36 PM The following link has very good information regarding Orthostatic Intolerance: http://www.mc.vanderbilt.edu/gcrc/adc/oi.html Also, there's an active healthboard thread on Neurocardiogenic Syncope in the Rare Disorders section: http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/Forum103/HTML/000316.html Best of luck ~ Z |
