Hoping i can get some advice..
Ive had a headache every day for about the past 3 weeks or so. they usually start at mid to late afternoon and last until late at night. i have a history of migraines, but i rarely get them nowadays. What would cause a headache everyday at the same time?
any advice is appreciated.
Thanks

My story is a bit similar to yours and I just went to the doctors yesterday. I don't have a history of migraines or headaches. Usually I'll get a headache, take a few tylenols and that will be that. This time however I've had the same painful headache for seven days now. Yesterday when I went to the doctor she did a test on me and gave me a pill for migraines and had me wait there until it kicked in and it didn't work, I still had the headache so she sent me off for a ct scan of my head which came back normal. Now she is sending me to neurologist which I go see on Friday. She's given me a narcotic pain reliever to help with the pain and also naseau (sp) medicine as well which seems to be working, my head doesn't hurt nearly as bad.

If I were you I'd go see a doctor. At least they could give you some medicine to help you feel better. Good luck!

I experience the same type of headaaches. And before you spend time and money on all these doctors. Can I suggest a chiropractor. I go and see my Chiropractor every time I have a headache that regular tylenol or Excedrine can not get rid of and he adjusts my neck. By the next day I am back to normal.

SARA,
That everyday headache at the same time is VERY typical of many migraine patterns.
Looks like you got them back:(!

Check for food triggers...some are CHOCOLATE, ORANGE JUICE, BOOZE, APPLES, PINEAPPLES...and CHOCOLATE!:D:D:D
My GUARANTEED headache: Two martinis and a couple pieces of Hershey's Special Dark! <owwwww, it hurts just to TYPE it>

thanks for all your responses. Those food triggers you listed are things that i rarely eat, but .....i think that migraines is probably the right answer in my case. only my headaches havent been as severe as migraines i used to have. i dont know. ill go to the doc. sometime soon and try to figure this out. i cant keep going on like this!! really starting to interrupt my life. I am a full time college student with 3 jobs, i dont have time for a headache everyday!!!
more advice is always welcome.

I get headaches everyday and i don't know what to do about it. I think it might be stress but i am still not totally sure.

I think I must have had a headache every single day since I was a kid. But I don't have them anymore and I think its because of my diet and other things.

I used to eat SO many processed foods - especially breads, bagels, croissants, cakes, yuk!! I also used to sleep on a pillow that was higher than mount everest, hold my phone between my ear and my shoulder and carry a WAY too heavy bookbag.

I also used to drink coffee and ZERO glasses of water per day. On top of that I took advil, tylenol etc EVERY DAY. I didn't know that those painkillers put a strain on the liver and that a strained liver causes...guess what? HEADACHES!!

Its may be that you have some kind of medical condition and might not be any of the things that I've mentioned but if any of it sounds anything like you then you might want to examine your lifestyle.

Thanks veggie girl, but i really dont think my eating habits are causing these headaches. i mean, my habits havent changed much over the years. the only thing i can think of where my lifestyle would affect my headaches is stress....im a VERY busy person...but then again, its nothing different from normal.
i have really appreciated everyones opinion and would like more replies.
someone said earlier that my headaches were my migraines coming back. well....these headaches feel nothing like migraines, they arent as severe, and i dont have the other symptoms i used to have like nausea, and aura. these headaches are just a dull annoying pain ...and its all over my head.
im at my wits end.
