Hi..I am 47 and in peri menopause..I had been having irregular, long, short, heavy, etc periods so my gyn put me on low dose bc pills...I have been on them for 2 months and everything has been much better and my periods have been fairly light and normal..
Just wondering....How will I know when I am really done with my periods for good while on the pill? I dont know how long I will be on them, at least for 6 mos till my next appt....But if you are truly done with your periods, will you still bleed while you are on the pill no matter what, or if you are done, you are done, even if you are taking the pill? I really dont understand how that works! Thanks... :cool:

Nance, that's a good question that I'm going to ask my doctor when she calls today. I'm also on a low dose bcp and really hoping that I'm at the end of this perimenopause. Maybe someone will reply with the answer before I hear from my dr.
