I've been tested (blood and urine) for EVERY sexually transmitted disease (HIV 1 & 2 / HEP ABC / Syph / Gono / Chlamydia / HSV1 & 2) but continue to experience pain when urinating .... redness at meatus. Now have chronic gastritis....reflux....dry eyes...dry mouth...and dry skin. This has been going on for almost 2 years.
Is there a risk that I'm not being tested properly? Could say Syphilis or Gono reside outside the circulatory system? If so, how should I be tested?

probably not, but you can have out bacteria infect you.
you might want to have a Urine Culture or a Semen Culture. Make sure everything is okay. Drink plenty of water.

sounds to me like you have chronic prostatitis. I have had it for six years and have never tested positive for anything in the urine or semen either. It is a very big nuisance. Suprisingly, the modern medical community has absolutely no idea how to succesfully treat the condition. It is an enigma like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Did you ever get a DRE (digital rectal exam) to check to see if your prostate was boggy or enlarged. You see when the prostate is enlarged or inflamed it pinches on the urethra causing pain during urination. Do you have any other symptoms like the ability to get an erection, but lose it real easy?
Is it worse when you sit down for like 5 hours straight?

mr. anxiety...
did yours begin after a sex romp? i had sex with my g/f (i'm female) about a year ago and 2 weeks later, i got this. i think it's called non-specific urethritis in men and it requires anti-biotics. or it's called non-gonnococal urethritis. get on some good antibiotic for a while. if it was just all of a sudden, i'm sure it was an std. by the way chlamydia lives within normal cells, so tests don't always reveal it unless the lab knows what they are doing. check up on something called mycoplasma or ureaplasma infections. don't have sex with n-e-1....you're likely to pass it on and it could make someone infertile. you may be at risk for being infertile. please find a doctor to get you some hefty anti-biotics and try em' all till it worx. there are various families. find that out first. quinolones (sp?), macrolides, cephalosporins, penicillins, etc. they all damage bacteria different ways, so somewon't work. i believe what you have is an std called non-specific urethritis if the onset was sudden, specially after a sexual encounter

Dude i have what you probably have. Its called reiters syndrome!
The immune system never realized the invading bacteria was dead and its attacking your mucous membranes.....penis, eyes, mouth ect.....The body attacks the mucous membranes because they have a similar cell surface as the invading bacteria.
Do you have any joint pain?
This didease is usually caused by clamidya or ureaplasma. Possibly mycoplasma.
Get at PCR test for these 3 bacteria! If you are positive for either of the latter 2 bacteria, you will be on antibiotics for a long time. (biaxin is best)
Family Doc's and people at STD clinics are usually not very good at diagnosing this disease. See a infectious disease specialist or a rhuematologist. They know what they are talking about.

Job:
Been tested 6 times for chlamydia...6 times for gono. I've been to the world's best Infectious Disease doctors...they all say its in my head. Mean while... the pain and symptoms persist.
We'll see what happens this week .. more docs - more tests.
