I've had cold sores for as long as i can remember they show up in the corner of my mouth if stressed or sick.My question is usually they go away quite fast but still uncomfortable, this outbreak comes after a highly stressful trip to the ER while i'm being treated for anxiety but i have noticed yesterday and today swollen glands under the chin, tougne, ear with a general unwell feeling like i have the flu but no fever.Anyone get thhis?

Swollen glands can appear at the same time as a cold sore sometimes because they are the sign of another infection e.g. a throat infection or of generally being rundown and unwell - which is often the scenario for when a cold sore appears (although with me, I find they appear when my lips are chapped or damaged. I have tonsillitis over and over but don't get cold sores, but if I go outside in a rough wind without some kind of lip protection, I get a sore! ).
