What is the bad fat to avoid? for example... I have this oil called SMART BALANCE... 1 Tbsp has 120 calories (and 120 calories from fat)... total fat 14... sat fat 1g... Trans fat 0g... Poly fat 4.5g... Mono fat 8g... what do all these fats mean? if i used this oil to pop popcorn would it be a healthy choice?

Yes, because the saturated fat is low and the monounsaturated is high. Monounsaturated fats are considered the 'good' fats that can help raise HDL cholesterol (the good cholesterol) and lower the bad. Polyunsaturated is sort of in between. Not as good as mono's but not as bad as saturated. Saturated is what you want to avoid. And, of course, trans fat, which is considered the worst.
Good sources of monounsaturated fats would be nuts, avocados, olive and canola oil.
However, be aware that ALL fat, regardless of which type, is high in calories and should be used sparingly.
