Can someone explain to me what is a MVP?....I went to a DO and he said he heard a faint clicking sound..I was unaware of the fact I had anything wrong with my heart..I feel fine except sometimes my heart runs away and I always threw that off on my out of whack thyroid and anxiety.
plus I had major surgery last month and pulse is staying around the 90s area..I think thats b/c I lost 3 units of blood..take care

Hello Likeme 28.
MVP. How about mitral valve prolapse ? This is the valve on the left side of the heart lying between the upper and lower chambers of that side of the heart. Now don't panic !!!Of course it can be a serious situation at a certain stage, but in your case it does not sound to be anything to get too worried about. I am not medically qualified, but can speak from my experience of long term heart problems.Who mentioned MVP anyway ? If this is the case you need to see a cardiologist to make sure of the situation and ? cause. Also you will be regularly followed up - maybe only
yearly. So don't worry and find out what you can. All the best.
