I was reading an old post. What is this and
how do you if you have it. My grandmother
had adenocarcinoma of the right lung and was told it had not spread to any parts of her body and that she could survive. My grandmother was admitted on april 19,2001 and found out april 30th that she had this when they decided to do a fine needle aspiration to biopsy the fluid. The test came back and she had found out april 29th. She had 2 does of chemo .After the 2nd dose
she died that week of may 5th. She went downhill overnight. I saw her on weds and she
was great. Thurs-sat there was a drastic change in her. I still dont understand fully. i would love to be able to chat with some one on this issue as she was as close as my mom to me and I still dont really understand. Thanks Lisa my e-mail is Luvcarosel@aol.com

Lisa,
Metastises means that the cancer has spread beyond the original organ effected. I have heard that lung cancer usually spreads to the brain or bones. Did the fluid from her lung
contain cancer? I also have a friend whose grandfather passed away in the same manner. It seemed once he started getting malignant fluid around his lungs in was only a matter of weeks.
I am sorry for your loss. Charish your grandmother's memory. She will continue to give in you and your family.
God Bless,
Natalie

Lisa, Just wanted to let you know my prayers are with you with your loss. I lost my dad a few years back, my mom, and now I too am in remission from cancer. May God Bless You and give you strength through this. Sadie
