hello...does anyone here know how the swollen part of the mandible(just below the right side of the chin) can heal faster? i had mine hit by the bicycle handle, and i thought it was only swollen, only to find out after more than a week that the bone (chin) has swollen and i am afraid it will not return to its normal form. i am using hirudoid but its only for the blood clot, is there anything i can do to remove this bump? thanks :)

I don't think your bone is swollen. Most likely firm brusing and blood clot under the skin. It will take may months for that to soften and then many more months for cacium to be cleared by your body

I have a very similar chin injury which I sustained 4 months ago while trying to rope a steer and I fell and was grazed accidentally by a hoof on my chin.It only hurt for a few minutes but a red bump appeared almost immediately right on the chin and hasn't gone away yet.I have tried puncturing it with a sharp needle, but there is no fluid inside and it bled for a few hours before healing up again,so now I am trying various ointments to try and shrink it up.How long will it take to disappear, and what type of salve will work best to dissolve it?
