Ok, I havent had a period since May of last year. I started on Prempro a few weeks ago. I got my period today. Did anyone else have this problem? I thought you werent supposed to get your period if you were on an HRT..

I just had the same problem. I took the prepro for about 6 weeks and then, bam, I'm having a period. I re-read the paper that comes with the drugs and it is mentioned as a side effect. My doctor told me that you usually don't have a period. I'm on the low dose prempro and I was considering not using the stuff anymore because I really hate having periods. But then again, I have been feeling pretty good with the prempro.

I guess we are the lucky ones! I was not prepared, if you know what I mean! ;) I am on the lowest dose also but I dont feel any different. I am going to try one more month and if I get a period again I will either scream or go off of it, I am not sure which. :)

I called my doctor and he said that sometimes with prepro, when you first start taking it, you get periods. But usually it goes away. (I bet this won't happen to me). Anyway, I am still going to take it for awhile anyway. When I took the higher dose, I was depresed and kept thinking about suicide (I knew that it had to be related to the hormones!). That went away when I switched to the low dose.

I started my second month prescription today, I really dont feel any different, maybe I am not giving it a chance, but hopefully no pms or period this month,,,,one can only hope LOL.
