I had sex yesterday and I am on the pill, my first pack ever. The pack is almost finished. I have 2 days until my sugar pills start.

My question is, could I be pregnant and still get my period? Or would my period NOT come if I was pregnant during my sugar pills, and therefore know I'm pregnant, because my period didn't come during the sugar pills?

Hope this doesn't sound confusing! :)

Your period won't come if you are pregnant.

also, remember, the likelihood of getting pregnant while on the pill is super low. I always have to remind myself that, I often get a little paranoid, haha :)

Now I've heard that women can still get bleeding that is much like their period for the first couple of months of a pregnancy. It's not your period, but it's bleeding around the same time. You could even have implantation bleeding around the time your period should come.

You're probably not pregnant though so I wouldn't worry. As long as you've been taking your pills around the same time all month you're safe.

I know I still get paranoid even though I am on the pill, I'm just DONT want to get prenant!!

But now im a little worried, so when i do get my period during the sugar pills, you are saying that I COULD be pregnant, should I take a home pregnancy test to feel super safe? And how long should I wait until I can use a pregnany test? Also, any popular brand you reccomend?

I know there's one that many people on this board reccomment, I think it's EPT because it detect if you're PG the soonest (I within a week of conception) However, since you are on the pill, the chances are really slim, however, I can definetely understand you wanting to take one for peace of mind! YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you CAN still have your period during pregnancy, i had my period for the first 4 months of my pregnancy!!!!!!!!!!!!! although people don't think you can, they don't know any better but in fact YOU CAN!!!!!! ask your doctor, they will say it is VERY possible
