I saw the surgeon for follow up on the injecs. from last friday. He and his Pa were so wonerful to me. He wanted me to go immediately for another inject. that was threaded through the nerve for a very specfic test, instead of just a nerve block or facet block. So I willingly agreed to do it right then with no sedation, then the anes. doc who did it said my doc wanted to do a differrent site, so I did. I sort of sucked, but not as bad as the pain I have been in. My doc is going to decide what now. He thinks he will take part of the hardware out on one side and if that does not work then maybe a SCS trial. I already take Topamax 50 mg. Hydrocodone 7.5 ,2 each day / Bextra/ Robaxin at night/. But he did say although my CT looks good something IS wrong and he knows I am miserable and will find the answer. The injects they did on the spur of the moment yesterday were not as good as last week but I told him I would do anything they want. Many docs would have said "THE CT IS FINE , I CAN NOT HELP" but I believe he really wants to help me. God knows I need it. I will hear from them on monday, they said depending on the results, they might have to take it out next week. Scary because what if that is not the prob... but what if it is.. He seems to think if the hardware shifted even a tiny bit it could crack the bond and that will not heal around the screws, until it is out, and it will not be seen unless it is out. Kind of a maybe yes maybe no situation. What do my healthboard friends think :confused:
