I just got back from the doctor about brown discharge. She did a pap test and it showed blood, I also go for an ultrasound Monday - it says on Recresquition to check for endometrius thickness.

I don't know if it is nerves, but I am having more bowel movements too.

I have had this discharge, since before my second son was born 3 years ago. She asked me if I had an ultrasound then (maybe she'll look at that last ultrasound?) I have had this discharge for about 4 years.

I also have been taking thyroid meds for about 2 years. She said my thryroid has always been border line. HELP?? Could I be stage 4 cancer?

Well, I have had a brown discharge midcycle for a few years. Had an ultrasound and had a small ovarian cyst. I read that caffeine aggravates them so I cut out all caffeine. 3 months later , had another ultrasound and cyst is gone. Dr. thinks the brown discharge is old blood caused by uterine polyps and will know positively when she receives radiologist's report. She said a D&C? will clean all of that out and rid me of the midcycle brown discharge.

They need to check for endometriosis- especially if you're having any pain.

A polyp on the cervix can also cause bleeding. What stage was the Pap?

Stage 4 cancer sounds unlikely at this point. But, the more frequent BM's are quite common when there are uterine problems such as endo. An ultrasound won't pick up endo all the time, either. A laparoscopy will, though.

Good luck
