Hi All,

I am new to this particular board. This is a very important board. People have no idea about all the toxins out there.

I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions on a good product source for personal care products. I want to keep my house as chemical-free as possible. Do any of you have any suggestions? I would prefer a mail order that way i can get all of our products in one location.

Thanks in advance for your feedback. Gope youre all well.

We use much diluted, Murphy's Oil Soap for floors, baking soda instead of detergent for washing clothes, and distilled white vinegar in place of liquid fabric softener.

We use regular dish detergent. It doesn't seem to bother me.

I wash my hair using regular, scent free hand soap. I use hydrogen peroxide to brush my teeth in the morning, and baking soda and water to brush my teeth in the evening.

I use Vaseline 100% pure Petroleum Jelly, if I need to cure a squeak, or if I need something to slide better.

I've got the added problem of being sensitive to most clothing materials and many dyes, so when home I wear just a bathing suit and sandals.

I wear an earloop mask at night, and while sleeping, which helps with my asthma and heart rhythm problems.

I don't use any other oils or cleaners.

We've also removed all of our wall to wall carpeting and upholstered furniture, and use metal, non smelling cabinets for storage, or plastic storage containers.

I wear a mask and gloves to read the paper, or the mail.

No one who smokes is allowed within 1000 miles of our home. This is a little hard to enforce.

When my symptoms are bad, I sleep in just boxer shorts, in a leather recliner without any blankets or covering.

Probably more than you wanted to know... Regards and best of luck and health!

We buy "all" of our products from Whole Foods Health food store. Everything from our foods to our our cleaning products to our personal ones.

White vinegar and baking soda make an awesome all purpose cleaner. Hydrogen peroixide, peppermint essetial oil, and lavendar essential oil kill germs. Sun and Earth makes a really great hand dishwashing liquid and liquid laundry detergent. My health food store has an uncountable number of natural shampoos, cosmetics, and facial care products. thank God! I really don't need all those man-made chemicals and carcinogenic toxins on my skin and in my blood stream (your skin absorbs 75% of what it comes in contact with into your blood, organs, and tissues.)

I began using Tom's of Maine. Available at WalMart and many other stores. Tom's carries toothpaste, deoderant and mouthwash, maybe more. I am using a product called "nature made" ( I think thats it) which makes all natural, no fumes or chemicals cleaners, I bought an all purpose cleaner, good for everything from Laundry to floors. I do not know if it is available only in Canada, but there is a website for this product. Am I allowed to post it? Also, I have a friend who orders by mail all natural products by Yves Rocher. I know it seems laughable, but it turns out his natural products are quite good, according to her. Worth checking into.
