I'm 43, this past 4 or 5 months, Before I'm gonna have my period my breast get so sore like I have to hold them if I wana move or anything, it was not this bad when I was preg'o, and forget about even touching them OMG!!! Does this have anything to do with Menopause?? Plus I sweat all the time.
And please dont tell me I'm to young to be starting to have Menopause systems.
Because they told me I was to young to have a heart attack but I did at 40 Nov-17-01

I had this symptom and the hot feeling. I always had some breast tenderness before my period but it did intensify during peri.

I'm 48 years old and have been in perimenopause since about 40 years old. I had the terrible breast tenderness and also other symptoms until I started using a natural progesterone cream. It has made a tremendous difference in my mood swings also. I have a pharmacist who compounds her own 2% prog. cream and I don't need a prescription for it. She is very knowledgable about hormones and women's problems. I think you can also buy it at the health food stores. Having the breast tenderness means there is an imbalance of estrogen and progesterone and taking more progesterone offsets the excess estrogen. Try it!

Hello,
I have also been dealing with this, mine will last about 10 days each month. I have not tracked it down to see where in my cycle this is happening. Luckly this month has not been as bad. Went to the doctor she said to take extra vitamin E, then the news said not to take vitamin E in large doses, so I am just dealing with it.
I am not having hot flashes, just anxiety and periods coming closer together.

Oh yes.... The best way I can describe it is.... Engorgement. For those of you that have had children, that horrible full of milk feeling. It almost feels like someone opened them up and put bricks in. I sleep in a sports bra .
This started for me when I was 39 and went off the pill. Now at 41 it is getting much worse.

Just reading the posts put me into that terrible place of breast tenderness. Some months I do not get it but is rarer and rarer lately. It can last two to three weeks for me now that I am in peri-menopause. It looks like I had breast implants they get so large.
I use the natural progesterone cream also. But what really helps almost immediately is accupunture. I go weekly and it has really helped a lot with the side effects of peri-menopause. I have a woman doctor and she tells me that having accupuncture now will really help with menopause cause it balances the body.

Haven't had that since last summer... but I do remember, vividly. It's the I HATE MY BRA syndrome. I would come home from work and whip that bra off ASAP... I had to hold 'em when I walked because they were so tender and puffy. It goes away, thankfully!
