Why does the pill make it impossible for me to wear contacts? When I was younger, I took orthtricylen and yasmin. Both of them made my eyes hurt when I had my contacts in. Does it dry out the eyes or something?

I find this so bothersome. I don't mind wearing my glasses at work, but I don't want to wear them all the time. I recently started the Nuvaring. My eyes were fine for 3 months or so. Then the other day my eyes KILLED when I put the contacts in. I don't get it. And what can be done?

Nothing can be done about it. It's a common side effect that occurs with people who wear contacts. It's even listed in the little warnings pamphlet. It's caused by fluid retention in the eyeball.
