I have read a lot of the different posts about Yasmin, and i was switched to Yasmin after using the Nuvaring for over a year and i am noticing a lot of discharge and i'm concerned. I just started it and have been on it for a week so i was just wondering if that was a normal side effect. Also how effective is the pill when you switch from the nuvaring to the pill is it right away? Thanks! :confused:

Discharge is normal.

You aren't protected right away, either. You have to abstain for at least a week, although many professionals recommend abstaining (or using a back-up method) for a full cycle month.
