Well, the update I have is still the same we are just waiting for the final moments. I spoke with my sister-in-law in Florida and the Hospice nurse came (who is a wonderful person). My brother told her that he will fight this to the end with every bit of energy that he has. Linda (the nurse) was very surprised that he was still alive. She said she has only had a few (which are rare) patients who go beyond and fight to live so much. My sister-in-law said Linda had a talk with my brother that it was alright to let go and that by letting go did not mean he was giving up. After this conversation with much more said, my brother went back into his coma state with a more peaceful look on his face. I guess my question is if anyone has ever gone through a death where the will to live has been so strong and surprised many people. In the mean time I am still praying that he will let go. Day 12 of not eating, down to 96 pounds. Two months ago he was 170lbs. My sister-in-law said it is hard to get close to him as he has the smell of (death) not sure how to explain. And his back bones are so visible, with bed sores on his backside. Thank you all. Good Bless to everyone going through this and Keep the Faith. Judie
