Hello, i'm a 25yr male. and for some odd reason i started having problems with my brain.
Starting today, didn't have it before, i started feeling as if i'm losing my balance( and also i feel a twisting sensation in the area of the brain/head) and then suddenly like i'm going to fall into deep state of sleep OR as if i'm about to pass out, and then when that happens i push myself to awaken and am in total shock as i do.
i really don't know why i started having this. i was fine just yesterday.
Am i usually a healthy person? well not really, i have a bunch of problems(injuries), but i thought my brain was the only healthy part. now it's acting up.
Anyone know or have had experiences like this?
thanks

Hi nokoBot,
This sounds like something that should be checked out by a neurologist. The feeling like you are going to sleep without cause is something that should be checked out. Also the balance issue. Are you having any headaches by chance? Please see a neuro, and get it checked out for your own peace of mind, Dodi

Hi Dodi, thanks for your reply. i noticed today a pattern in my problem. It starts kind of in normal state, then i feel as if my brain was twisted or stretched , and then the 3rd stage is a sudden dropping sensation. I noticed too that in the 3rd stage of the cycle i can either a) take it and be strong in which case i will be aware of the sensation and hate it but i keep strong and b)i unconciously feel as if i was suddenly falling asleep without wanting( eyes open though). It's sudden and it feels as if i got electrocuted in the brain and it even goes to my hand( a tingling sensation) and as a result i feel a fear/shock sensation throughout my body.
I'm not having headacches, but i'm feeling this brain twisting/stretching sensation most of the day. When i was 7 i was in an accident and hit my head and was in a comma, had to relearn to speak and everything. but it's been long time, and i was fine all this time. i don't think it's related to that, is it? Neurologist heh? sounds like a good idea, but i really hate it i have to go to docs all the time, am going with urologist just recently.
ok bye and thanks

Hi nokoBot,
I still think it would be smart to see a neurologist. Head injuries can sometime produce problems "down the road" and manifest themselves in various ways. It sounds like your injury at 7 years old was quite an injury to leave you in a coma.
This sounds very common to some sort of seizure activity with the feeling of falling asleep (losing consciousness). ((I am NOT a doctor, nor do I play one on TV! :D but please see one to help figure this out.))
Let us know what happens, Dodi

Sounds almost like Epilepsy. Check out epilepsy.com. I think you need to see a neuro too.
