I have been doing quite well since my hemorrhoidectomy. The last two days have been bad. Even before the surgery I had several watery bms every morning, been that way for years. This morning I had a more solid one and two hours later, 2 hot baths later, pain meds and all am still hurting. I also noticed that I have 3 lumps around my anus, I gues that is where he removed the hemmys. What is going on?
Also is there any connection to my history of very loose stools and the polyps he found durning surgery?
Any help would be appreciated, I have a 3 hour drive tomorrow for my post-op check and to schedule a colonoscopy.
Thanks

Just read your post and wondering how you are doing. I am 11 days after surgery now. Just wondering what location they found your polyps and how many? Were they removed? I hope this posts because my responses to Firewoman and Rolex haven't been posting for some reason???? I will just share my experience with you and hope it helps. This is my 11th day and I am peeing just fine. I have alot of pain with my morning BM's so I take a vicoden early in the morning to help cover the pain. I also take metumucil and colace........and if your reading this Rolex and Firewoman.....I stopped the laxative per your instructions. I am just wondering when I will have a BM without pain..........how many days or weeks down the line? And, does anyone know if you can tell if you have anal stricture before seeing the doc, as I have my first followup on the 20th and just praying everything will be fine!!! Since you are only seven days pre op, are you taking alot of sitz baths and are they helping? I have a little sitz bath that also fits on the toilet that I fill with very hot water when I get ready to have a BM and it is the only way I can have one right now, otherwise it hurts alot. Are you the same way????? Good luck and looking for your reply.
