Hello again,
Hello! I posted this question earlier but didn't get any responses. So, I'm trying again and this time will be less specific.
Can you still do yoga after having both big toe joints fused? Are there any positions that you can no longer do/get into? I know squatting would be out of the question...
I realize that you can always make modifications with yoga but I am very curious. Can any of you more experienced people comment on this?
Thanks again! :)

Hi,
I did not have toe fusions, but Liagment Release surgery for 3rd and 4th Metetarsal. I found it difficult to do up dog or down dog pose for a while. My foot was very tight and I did half classes or did it on DVD at home. IT will be very painful at first but you have to get through the stiffness. I experience a lot of pain once I finish class but my problem is still not over...
hope this helps..

Greetings.
I have both 2nd toes done.
i still do yoga. But I find if I put a towel under or on the toes depends on the pose.Sometimes the mat irrtates the scar site.So I tuck a towel just to raise the toes as for bending the toes I can bend at the base of the toes instead of the middle joint (which I don't have).I just love yoga have been doing it for many years With squatting i try to only do this one very lightly but I do try and do it.Don't hurt yourself...
I love yoga !!!!!i's good for my soul .I don't push myself....
