just curious if anyone who has mental probelms, if it prevents you from working or holding a job. i think that is my problem. and i was wondering is there any kind of disability you can get from having these problems and not beign able to keep jobs or work? if so how does one go about getting that?

I'm on disability due to a mental illness. It all depends on yur doctors/psychiatrists/therapists and what kind of records they have. It's basically their decision. My doctor signed for my disability but refused another one of his patients so it depends on the severity of your mental illness. :nono:

I've heard that it is not uncommon for people with mental illness to have difficulty holding a job:P But it's no guarentee^_^ I have a lot of problems with depression, anxiety, racing thoughts, paranoia and hearing voices; I have problems with school that I'm stuggling with, but my work isn't really effected :D
I've been to workshops to help with writing resumes, and handling interviews to help me out too. So it's not hopeless.
But I'm sure if you're having a lot of trouble with work your doctor can have something arranged for you.

I recieve Social Security Disablity for my anxiety. I hate not being able to work, but that is how it has been for the last 2 years.
