My family doctor and an orthopaedic doctor says I have fibro. What is the diffence between a orthopaedic and rheumatologist? I was wondering if I need to go to one. The only medicine my doctors have given me is Celebrex. It doesn't help!
Thanks for your help,
Concerned grand

hi,
an ortho addresses issues with bones. a rheumy addresses the soft tissue that connects bones. fortunatly for us they have also chosen to address the soft tissue disorder that is the foundation of fms. ask your family doc to refer you to one he/she feels will harmonize with you. it really matters to be on the same page as the people who are assisting you with your health.
read, read, read about this. knowledge is power. the knowing of what is going on eases the fear of the experience.
peace,
bluelakelady
