my husband is 34 . he was in hospital prior to xmas with svt.discharged on flecainide but had to be taken back in last week, they now think he has arterial problems and we are awaitng angiogram. he cant stand without getting ischaemic and needing oxygen....my dad died aged 48 of heart disease. is there anyone out there who has had this problem and survived.i'm petrified. :wave:

Stay positive. If he has arterial problems and they caught it early enough the odds are overwhelming he will be fine and back to 100%.

Many here have CAD and doing fine-- I'm one of them. CAD can be treated very effectively as mentioned when caught early enough. But, remember there is no cure. That doesn't mean it's a downward spiral. With medication and/or treatment and diet changes the out look can be quite good.
