hello everyone.
I'm new to this board, and for that matter new to the world of forums. I'm currently 34 and at age 33 I was diagnosed with a neurological disorder (spinocerebellar Ataxia). It has been very difficult to say the least. My balance is so bad at this point, I have to use a walking stick, lean on walls, hold on to people, just to move around from place to place. My vision has gotten very bad as well, which resulted in my driving to be diminished quite a bit. My speach slurrs at times. The worse part of all this is, I've had no one, who can relate, to talk with. I talk to family & friends and they sympathize as much as they can and it's comforting, but it doesn't help me as far as coping. I guess talking period, no matter if you can relate or not is the important thing. If anyone has any information, knows of any websites or would like to lend any help, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much,
Gianluca
