i am wondering how long it takes for the results....do you find out right away? or does your doctor get the x-rays first?
I am going in tomorrow morning for my x-ray...i am a bit nervous...but i so want to know what is going on...
thank you!

I would think that the radiologist would read the x-ray first, then pass the information to your doctor. Let us know how it turns out for you.

Chest x-ray results shouldn't take more than 24 hours. But an x-ray will only tell them if there are large enough problems that show up.

When there is a serious question of cancer, they need to do a lung ct, as they spot smaller masses than a normal x-ray does. Again, the results are quick.

Good luck
