When I get up from sitting down or lying down, my feet are sore and for the first few steps it feels as if the achilles tendons are too short. There's also pain under and throughout my feet for the first few steps. I must walk small steps until the pain goes away. Anyone with the same problem or help?

sounds like plantar fasciitis. try putting water in a plastic pop bottle and freezing it, then take hot water and put in same kind of bottle. roll bottom of foot on first cold and then hot and then cold again. do this for 30 min per night. also take ibuprophen it is an anti inflam. if this doesn't help u may need to make appt. with doc so he can tape foot.

Hi there. I suffer with this problem also. You need to stretch your foot. Look up archilles tendon ligament stretching exercises online. I was told to do these foot stretching exercises for 10 minutes at a time, 3 times a day. Then freeze an empty bottle of shampoo, or something similar...and roll your foot across it, 3 times a day. I was told that if I faithfully do this, I'll get rid of this problem within a couple of weeks. I haven't been totally faithful following these instructions; but my left foot is already starting to feel better. You do the stretching exercises; then roll your foot on the iced bottle. I hope you get better soon! Debbie
