I recently took the morning after pill because of a female condom mishap. I had intercourse right at the end of my period....the day before I start taking birth control pills. The guy I had intercourse with was worried about me becoming pregnant and so I decided to take the morning after pill just in case. I am still continuing to take my pills daily, but I am experiencing some lower abdominal pain. Could this be caused by the morning after pill or perhaps a combination of the 2 pills? Do I still need to take my regular bc pills daily now that I have taken the morning after pill? If anyone has any advice/info, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks :)

I read that the MA Pill can cause some changes to your body that may affect you for two years...one of these changes being abdominal pain, and more cramping. I did have some cramping after taking the MAP, but I haven't noticed much more after that...not anything that I can specifically relate to that. But I definitely think you should continue to take your regular birth control. The MAP is just a higher dosage of the regular BCP, and thats what prevents the pregnancy.
Although, if you experience unbearable cramping and/or pain, you should call your GYN.

Were you on regular bc pills when you took the MAP? I took the MAP on Monday and started experiencing both diarrhea and some abdominal pain yesterday...nothing too intense, but a little discomfort. Hopefully it won't last long. Thanks for your advice/info. :)
