Hi-

I'm on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo and have been for, oh, around four months. I also suffer from migraines, which I get two time on average a month (around my period, which just adds to the fun  ). Anyway, my neurologist prescribed me an anti depressant for the migraines, called Lexapro I think. I haven't started taking it yet, but is there interactions with the pill and anti depressants? Need to know soon...

Thanks!

I have been on the pill and anti depressants for years and it's perfectly fine! Good luck with your migraines. :)

I have been on Inderal LA 80mg for my menstrual migraines and it's by far the best treatment I've gotten for migraines. It's a preventative (taken every day) and it's actually a blood pressure med, but it helps tremendously w/ my migraines. I've never heard of using anti-depressants for migraines, but what do I know??

There is no problem taking anti-depressants and BC. Antibiotics can cause the BC pills not to work. Try switching your BC pills. I did and my migraines have almost stopped.

I'm on Wellbutrin and Mircette and have been for three years.

No side effects, problems or reactions whatsoever.
