I have a red patch on the shaft of my penis. Its about the size of a one cent coin. It varies from being bright red and slightly itchy, to being pink and a bit flakey with no itch. I have had this about 18 months and have been checked for STD's and got the all clear. I have been putting 'over the counter' skin creams on it for the past while but to no avail. Has anyone got any idea what it might be? Could the STD test's have missed something? There is no history of any skin complaints in my family. I am 35, fit and healthy.
Thanks in advance!

Maybe it's a patch of eczema. Why not see a dermatologist for a proper diagnosis and treatment and put an end to your suffering? :)

Yea was thinking of eczema but there's no history in the family. Is is contagous? Strange that I'd get in on my penis...

No, it's not contagious and you don't need to have a family history. My boyfriend got a little patch of it on his finger, but like you, he kept putting all sorts of OTC stuff like hydrocortizone on it. I was like, will ya go to the dermatologist already?? lol He finally went, she said it was eczema and gave him a prescription cream. A couple of days later it was gone. It comes back every once in a while (there's no cure) but he just puts the cream on it again. I don't know if that's what you have, but it doesn't sound like any STD.
