well The med the doctor prescribed is working (clonazepam) but when I had to refill the prescription the 1st doc gave me 50 tab 1 pill twice a day,now my primary doc refilled the prescription for 20 tabs 1 pill at bed time. That was jan5 and I have had to take two a day 1 morning and 1 bedtime to not feel the panic attack symptoms.Well I am down to 4 pills and have a feeling my primary doc won't refill it.I have a anxiety overview appt weds.Should I ask for the refill then or what.to tell the truth I am scared to be off the meds but don't feel addicted to them. Can I have some help with this issue.

your problem is familiar, your med is very useful for anxiety and panic attacks, a tablet disolved under the tongue will greatly reduce a panic attack if done at the start of it

do try to get some more but take them only as needed and not every day, anxiety and panic attacks arent constant, always carry a few tablets with you when out

one taken before bed wont last long the next day and may eventually make it hard to get off to sleep without it

the docs will probably try to get you on an antidepressant, if so ask for some K to reduce the early side effects

you need to learn relaxation and CBT and new coping skills also

Thank You And I Am Glad I Have The Support.but I Feel So Uneasy About Not Having Them But Am Uneasy About Calling The Doc Because She Might Think I Am A Dope Fiend Or Selling The Pills Or Something.i Am A Woman Of Color And My People Makes Things Difficult For Us Sometime And I Know It Is Not Her Fault.

well as i thought i tried to refill the prescription and she has not contacted the pharmacy.this will be my first night with out them.I am kind of getting that strange feeling in my throat right now but I am also stressed to the limit right now. should i just ignore it or what.also the breathing thing does nothing for me. :nono:

you really shouldnt be made to quit cold turkey, you should be supplied with enough tablets to taper off
explain to them about the total number of tablets you took and ask for some more so you can taper off.
yes anxiety sufferers are sometimes thought to be selling the benzos on the street or giving them to addicts, we often dont seem all that anxious to the docs.....
the deep slow breathing will work but you need to be patient, a long soak in a hot bath relaxes the muscles and makes it easier, practise the breathing while having a soak

if no more benzos and things get really bad then antihistamines will help, these sedate as a side effect and are foumd in cough mistures and many other mrds, allergy med, travel sickness pills, etc

expect to be prescribed an antidepressant med for the the panic attacks, these often do help but the early side effects may be difficult

[B]well now I guess I was paranoid! But seen a doc today and he was very understanding and said I need the benzo but maybe also an antidepressant. Also find otu what is triggering the attacks.which I think is everything on a daily basis that everyone else goes through.Thank you for being there for me.
