What do you mean exactly by "stretched"?Do your lips look longer or just bigger than you think they should?if that is it, you are in very good company. Most womens outer lips are large. If you go up to the cosmetic surgery board you will see there are many many women on that board who for some unknown reason, feel the need to actually remove some or all of the labia. I guess it's a personal choice, but OWE!! Thats gotta hurt!Marcia

Your not a freak! My daughter who is 20 has very large labia and it is real noticeable to her cuz she is so thin,She showed this to me to ask if it was normal and yes it is.Some women just have large labia. My sister also has this and she did ask our doc about surgery and he said if you can live with it.do so,it is a painful procedure. So don't worry your in a crowd of people just like yourself.

Your not on your own, men have different sized penises and sometimes one testicle larger than the other, we have the same, some women have larger than others. Im not sure id want mine operated on, too much pain for me, i think its normal to worry about these things but you are not alone.
Everyone is different, if we were all the same life would be so dull ;)

I'd say that probably hardly any girl/woman has picture perfect labia. There are women whose labia don't hang down at all, there are some that hang down a little, and some that hang down a lot. Personally, mine hang down a couple inches, but they really don't in the way of anything; I figure I've gone this many years with them and nobody has ever mentioned them looking weird, so I'm going to live with them. If yours aren't painful or don't get caught in your underwear, I'd try not to worry too much about them. If, however, they bother you a lot, then I would someday consider surgery. There are many postings about this procedure on the cosmetic surgery board. I understand that the surgery involves a fair amount of pain...well, not the actual surgery itself (a person is given anesthesia) but I mean the recovery period is pretty uncomfortable, I think. I would read about the surgery and what other people have gone through and then decide if you would still be interested in having it done. If so, I guess you will just have to somehow bring up the subject to your mom and see what she thinks. You won't know until you ask. Good luck.

Your not a freak! But that's what i thought of myself when i first seen a women in a magazine, I thought o.k there is something wrong with me! But there isn't anything wrong with me, they are on the larger longer side with an interesting side flap thing going on but that's me and like Commonnow has said i too have gone this long and not one mention of this being abnormal or being mentioned at all, no problems. I wouldn't worry about it yet or at all for that matter. But i know how you feel, i once felt the same way.

I just posted on the cosmetic surgery board! Mine are long too, but they bother me physically. I think why women have such as issue with this, is....how many people in porn or magazines have long or large labia's? I really have never seen it, and so i think it makes us feel different or insecure about what we have. It is truly amazing to me how many women have this same issue, when you really feel all "alone" thinking your the only one who has this! if they dont bother you physically, i wouldnt go to such extreme to change them.

I just saw a show about this on a health and science channel. The woman had a larger labia that actually cause pain due to pinching and chaffing. If it is causing you physical pain then it is understandable that you'd want to change it. However, know that not everyone is the same. Your body is beautiful and if you are concerns are over men, trust me, they won't mind either.

What parts that should be inside are outside? Perhaps you should visit a gynecologist to have it looked at. If there is something wrong they can help you. If not they can talk to you about the appearance of your genitals.
Have you asked your Mom about it?

With this latest comment of yours, it makes me worried that you don't actually know what's supposed to be in what place. Hopefully you aren't looking at illustrations because a lot of them tend to draw things really tiny for some strange reason, which makes women with normal-sized parts think theirs are giant. Also, as females go through puberty, the vulva changes a lot and it's unsettling for some women. Finally, a lot of women experience discomfort with their perfectly normal labia because they shave and/or wear too tight pants. Not that there is anything wrong with either practice, but you have to keep things in perspective: if you wear super tight pants, shave and then wonder why your vulva is irritated....
Anyway, try to find out what the names of the parts are that you are worried about, so we can see about them too. So far, you sound perfectly normal.

its not normal. its like the inner lips seperate the outer ones, like everything just fell out. the skin is discolored and wrinkled. sometimes its uncomfortable because of pinching. but most of all, it looks awful it just isnt the way its supposed to be.

What you really should do is go to your doctor and be examined! I know this is hard for someone your age to do but its best for you. Then you will know for sure whats wrong if anything.
And also try to talk with your mom about this also.

That actually sounds perfectly normal. As you get older you "grow" and sometimes the outer labia starts to separate.
