Hey there,
I was just wondering if anyone knew if your doctor will still give you a pap smear if you have a yeast infection??!
Thanks!

Whether s/he decides to give the pap is personal discretion. However, it's pretty likely that you'll have to have another pap, as the yeast infection might show abnormal results.

Hello,
I've never had a gynecologist turn me away, in fact they look to see if I do have a yeast infection when I go for my check-ups. Hope this helps.

I had mine today and my dr swabbed me b/c she said there was discharge and she wants to rule out a yeast infection (I was on anti-biotics after my dec 15 back surgery). So, like said above, they will rule out a YI during your pap, so if you think you have one, should be okay to get the pap even if you think you may have a YI. Just be sure to tell your doc. That dr may decided to reschedule but I doubt it.
