As my physical activity increased, so did my testicular pain, so did my tramadol use, so did my tramadol tolerance. You know the brutal cycle. My doctor, worried about me being in so much pain (and me taking so much tramadol) will not fill me anymore tramadol until I see a urologist again. I don't have an appt with the urologist until February. Meaning I won't be able to get an tramadol until after then.

Just letting you know...I'll be clean the next month.

My husband is on tramodol for a back injury this week. Isn't it non-narcotic? I would imagine that is just a medical term they placed with it and it is all the same.

Tramadol is non-narcotic chemically. But it acts on the opioid receptors. It also interacts with serotonin and norepinphrine (sp?).

Tramadol acts well in my body. Which is one reason why I prefer it to other pain killers. I cannot tolerate NSAIDS AT ALL. If I could just cut back my use of the tramadol, I might be ok to stay on it a little longer for pain. I'm starting to have strong will power again (turned down offers of hydrocodone on the street).

My methadone dr. prescribed the tramadol for me.
After being clean off opiates for almost 3 months, I definately got
a little bit of a buzz off of them.
I have heard they are very addictive and people have bad w/d

I'm not having any w/d's at all. I did the first 3 days or so. Today (Wednseday) I am a week clean from tramadol! Tramadol has become a big part of my daily life the past year and a half or so, so it's kind of hard to go through. Like my spouse is missing or something. It's silly, I know. But tramadol has helped my testicular pain so much, it cures my anxiety and panic while making me feel so happy. I can't help but love it. The duration of tramadol is my favorite thing. The effects last up to 11 hours with me, while with hydrocodone, effects are only about 4 or 5 hours. I'd rather take two 50mg tramadol than two 10mg hydrocodone.

Getting this cyst taken off of my testicle is the best bet, but I have already had surgery (gallbladder taken out) this school year and it shows in my 1st semester final grades. So I'll probably consider surgery this summer. That way I wont have to worry about missing any school.

Hang in there Herbal...how are ya feeling???? I know you are young and going thru enough, w/out the added b/s of addiction. You are young and can and WILL bounce back from this addiction. What have you been doing to keep yourself busy....How was your w/d???? I commend you, you are alot like me, you just keep trying and trying.....don't ever stop TRYING to quit, o.k.???? Keep on posting, i feel for you kiddo, i have a daughter that is almost the same age as you....i am here if you ever need ANYTHING, just give me a yell...
