I feel a bump in about the mid section of my lungs, more to the right then the left but just about the middle. When I touch it hurts abit.

The thing is I'm only 18. I eat healthy. I dont smoke, drink or anything.
I'm not around smoke.

Could I somehow still have lung cancer or is this normal/something else ?

I think its important to mention when I dont do excercies (situps) I dont feel the bump anymore, touching that area does not hurt.

When I do excercise, maybe abit too much too, thisbump or whatever it is all of the sudden is more noticeable and there is pain.

Thanks

Lung cancer? Naw. It's honestly probably a muscle knot, and at worst, a cyst. Think about this. To get permanent lung damage, you have to smoke a pack of cigarettes a day for 10 years before there is enough damage that your body can't overcome. Also, people that end up getting lung cancer from smoking, smoke a pack a day for up to 40 to 45 years!! Of course, there are things other than lung cancer, such as COPD which can show up at this time too. My point is not to encourage smoking, but to indicate to you just how resilient our bodies are.

Think about it....a pack of cigarettes a day for 40 years...do you know how many cigarettes that is?!!!

Disclaimer: Yes, I know that lung cancer and COPD can appear before a pack.year of 40....and yes, I also know that lung cancer can appear in people that don't smoke, but it is exceedingly rare, and it usually happens to people older than 18.
