I have worn lancome and clinque but would like to try another mascara. I can see the difference when I use expensive mascara and drug store mascara. Any suggestions on other department store mascaras?

I really like Chanel's dramalash(I don't remember the exact name)
It makes lashes longer and thicker, but you have to use it sparingly. If you lay the coats on heavy it'll look like really heavy false lashes.

My Mom and I swear by Estee Lauder "More Than Mascara" because it works awesome! It's expensive, but it lasts a long time.

I'm a huge fan of Lancome Definicils also.

I just bought the chanel mascara and it works ok. It separates and extends the lashes but it is not as dramatic as I would like my lashes to look. I also like definicils by lancome but it always looked clumpy and dried out in the tube so quickly.

My favorite mascara on earth (!) is by a company in Australia called "Mineresse". Their mascara is called "Secret Weapons Mascara" and it is absolutely awesome. My lashes become so long and thick and beautiful. And the best part about it is it's easily removed. You don't have to pull at your eye area to wash it off. It won't smudge or clump or anything like that. I'm always getting compliments on my lashes and people asking me what mascara I use. I'm apparently not the only that likes it because it sells out quite often. The only place I know to purchase it is at HSN, the Home Shopping Network. I'm also in love with their foundation and finishing powder. In fact, I love everything about them!

I know you asked about department store brands, but this is my
favorite of any brand around the world! I was using Definicils which wasn't bad but the Mineresse has even that beat! Linda :D

I really have yet to find better than cover girl mascara - it really is great.

Hi, I know what you mean about Definicils drying out, but what I've done in the past for any mascara that does that, is to place it in a cup of hot water while I'm putting on the rest of my make-up. Also, I just read in Allure that if you "pump" your mascara wand in and out of the tube - it will add air and make it clump. Evidently we're supposed to twirl it around in the tube instead. It took a close friend telling me that I had "tarantula" lashes to make me change to Definicils, and to resist pumping.

I did try a mascara by Mary Kay called Endless Performance (I think that was the name) and it lengthened, separated and CURLED. But that was the only Mary Kay product that I liked, and it's not worth dealing with a representative coming to your house, etc.

I've been using Definicls for years and it has never gotten clumpy or dried out...MAscara if worn everyday ,you should buya new tube every 3 mos at least I do every 2...anything longer than that then it will get dry...but thats true with any mascara..it ages fast..
