Why not call your doctor and discuss your symptoms? Perhaps there are strategies that the doctor can offer you for your side effects that will help.
I gather from previous posts that you are undetctable. That is very good news.
Some people do need to discontinue the treatment due to severe sides. Before you decide to do that discuss it with your doctor.
If you do discontinue treatment, it isn't the end of the world (although it sure feels like it I am sure) Newer treatments are in development and if you have liver disease there is good news regarding maintanence interferon until they are available.
I am sorry you are feeling punk and I hope it passes soon.

TY for responding..I have decided to continue w/ it..It would be foolish of me to stop into my 8th month. The odds were against me b/c of my genotype 1A,my viral load is/was 6 million+...I responded 3 months into the TX and have since been undetectable.
Its just going through the bad days where you want to give up and run away that make you insane. My weaning off Paxil may have also contributed to me wanting to stop.It just all boils down to "Im so sick of being sick"

I honestly wish there was something I could offer that would help.
Hang in there and know we are pulling for you.

The time will go by whether or not you remain on the meds. May as well try to be solid like a rock and reach your goal. You got some good advise about talking with the doc. If i remember correctly, the last "liver meeting" was mostly about how to keep patients on the meds by working to reduce side effects.
I would give those nurse counselors a call too... just a pleasant voice during those low lows helped me ALOT!

Got2fight-If I have truly been an inspiration then you have made my day.It makes me feel better knowing I have in some way helped someone.I have decided to continue & stick it out.
Wes-I have an APP w/ my GI Monday & will be discussing some options I may have.Im not sure what can be done.I have already been reduced to 4 pills a day instead of 5 b.c I ended up getting anemia. He says that under 4 pills wont work so im not sure what will happen.

is your doctor aware of neupogen and procrit? there are patient assistence programs from the drug companies if money would be a problem for you getting it.

Good thinking, Wes!
There are various programs available, including a new one from all the pharmas for those without prescription coverage listed on the website below my name.

TY all...I have decided to switch meds.I have realized that I do in fact need them.I have come off of paxil and am now on Zoloft.Withdrawl is pretty but its something I cant fix.
Wes,thankfully the anemia didnt get out of control so I dont have to go on procrit. It slowed down as soon as I was reduced to 4 pills instead of 5.My RBC is still off level a bit but nothing that I need to worry about.
