k, i am 14, i go to school, i have homework, i take curling, i cook supper, clean the house, dance, blaa bla..i basically live an average life. i eat healthy, i do watch tv and sit on my butt a lot but i am an acitve person. if i dont have pipes for muscles, is that such a crime? do i have to be muscular and in so good of shape i have to run miles every day in order to be healthy?

school takes a lot of time and usualyl i look forward to watching movies with my mom either than working a sweat doing pointless pushups. mayeb i do them twice a week or so, is that good enuf? i dont except myself to be a pro wrestler.

No, you don't have to run miles, or lift weights, or follow some crazy diet to be healthy. You are FOURTEEN years old. Enjoy life. Eat fast food. Sit around and play video games or watch TV. Do what you like. You have the rest of your life to stress about how much you weigh, or how much you can bench press, or how far and how fast you can run. Few people are true athletes, but there are many more for whom athletics are a hobby and a passion. If you are one of those, great. If not... that's not a problem. It's just you.

I had to drop my curling lessons to make more time for my competitive domino's training. And I know for a fact that Phillydude schedules his workouts around a "rocks, paper, scissors" training schedule.

Whatever happened to baseball and football? .....

Well, it would only be good enough if you like the results you see after a while of doing them(push ups). If you like what you see already, the you'll be alright. How long do you watch TV a day. Maybe you can balance it out by watching one show (instead of 2 per say) and then exercise during your other show(the least liked out of the 2 for example) and BAM, you have the best of both worlds. :) It's okay not to have muscles if YOUR happy with youself. However, yes having strength will benefit you when you run or do any type of cardio, but you don't have to strength train like a "mad women" to look good or be healthy. I think your doing fine, like Philly dude said, enjoy your youth cause it goes fast. ;)

You sound like a kid any mother would be proud of. Enjoy the time you spend with your mom. You other activities are plenty to keep you physically fit, but family time is also important. Treasure it and don't feel guilty.
