Well, in a sense we're all "mental", you know. Just not all in the same way.
Don't worry about the "mental" label - worry about your physical health, esp. your teeth, your heart, your stomach, your intestines, your esophagus, your bones, your skin, your eyes, your fertility, your body odor, your breath....
It's not worth the trouble to do this to yourself.

OK, there are definitely a lot of definitions of "mental" in the sense of "crazy". Mostly used to label others by people who are ignorant about mental health issues.
Bulimia nervosa is definitely a mental health problem, but I wouldn't call yourself "mental"... there isn't a set of diagnostic requirements for that unfortunate term. I don't even know 100% what you mean by it.

I would say you are not at all "mental"...but you might have some problems with appropriate handling and feeling of emotions. So, one could say, Bulimia is an emotional disorder. Particularily if there is some part of your life in which you feel you do not have control..but do not know how to approach it..or are in fact..denying it.

Maybe it's an emotional disorder - but are you sure? They used to say it was linked to childhood sexual abuse - but is that really true? I had an anxiety disorder in college that had symptoms similar to bulimia - all I remember is that I wanted it to STOP, just GO AWAY. I think it's too complicated to make generalized statements about.

yeah, i dunno if thats true or not...i mean, i have never been sexually abused as a child. never. my parents mean the world to me, and yeah..so, thats not it.

Yeah, all I'm saying is that you can't really generalize about it.
