well so far so good down to 5 mg every other day now and have noticed i have no energy this morning my brain is protesting the fact i didn't take my dose last night. The nightmares are back and have been dealing with a constant pressure/headache like pain in my head, pain releivers don't help so by nightfall i'm ready to jump out of my skin and hurry to go to bed.The doc suggested two choices?Raise the dose back up again to rid myself of the headaches or grin and bear it and wean off.I know it hasn't been long yet and eventually will go away but a week is sooooo long when you feel unwell which is my general feeling hard to explain to the doctor i just feel unwell
Any advise or good news been dragging my butt to the gym and trying to get through in hopes one morning i will wake and feel well and have a normal day

well i have been where you are only to go back again!! i went off celexa a yr and a half ago and then restarted about 6 months ago again as i needed something in my life!! i just hope ur not in my boat or this is all for nothing. it is very hard to wean off of and it sucks!! it took me a good month to get back to my normal self and i was very angry when i first stopped taking med as no one told me side effects would be as bad as they are!! not sure what dose or how long uve been on it but just hang in there it will go away.

i was on celexa but went off it completely cold turkey because i didn't want to tell anyone, which was very stupid of me. but the celexa made me feel incredibly numb, tired, and horrible. i've come to know, from weaning off medications, that the initial symptoms of not taking them or lowering your dose are really bad for awhile, but they get better. you could definately decide to raise your dose again, as you could also decide to grin and bare it and try to either stop taking medication or change your prescription. i don't know what is best for you, but i found that getting off of medications was the best decision for me.
