this is hard to explain, and this is the closest board I can find to what i want.

On my tongue and at the very back of my throat (the soft part of my pallete). I have two little irritating lumps.
Now this is where it gets confusing, because when you say lump you think ulcer or something, but they both feel more like tiny, little scabs, like a grain of sand or a small seed rather than "a lump" and because of this Im finding it hard to research. Theyre not painful, i can just feel their presence, the one on my tongue isnt visible but I can feel it with my finger and almost sort of pick at it.

Can anybody enlighten me on this?

Yes...those are most likely your circumvillate papillae, large "taste buds" which are a normal part of your tongue. Your tongue goes back in to your mouth a lot farther than you might think, and if you were able to look at a full human tongue, you would notice that there are actually 7-8 of these bumps at the back of the tongue arranged in an "arrowhead" shape.

Yeah i know about the big ones.

Usually when i hear about enlarged taste buds nearer the front of the tongue (like this) people say they are sore, and this isnt.
However, having done more research the whole of my mouth is very similar to a description of vitamin B deffiency i read. Also, i have heard alight raising of taste buds may occur if you have a cold. I'll take vitamin tablets and leave it for a few days, if nothing gives I'll got to the dentist or something.

Don't fall in to the trap of reading symptoms on the internet and diagnosing yourself....medicine is not that easy and it doesn't work that way. Symptoms of a b12 deficiency are often subtle, and not all of them appear....plus, until you've actually seen a tongue that has been confirmed to be due to a vit b12 deficiency (I'm assuming b12 is what you're talking about, and the glossitis you get with it), it would be very difficult to diagnose it. Plus, vit b12 deficiency is diagnosed through a blood test, and oral tablets will do nothing for you.

I understand this, but I have read several articles on B defficiency symptoms, and although i know they can be symptoms of many other things. i can relate to symptoms such as; vague fears, panic, morbid thoughts, constant feeling something dreadful is going to happen, suspicions, loss of ability to concentrate, fatigue, diziness, sweet food cravings, stomoach pain, chest pain, acne, sore throat, difficulty sleeping.

Sounds like alot doesnt it? Sounds like Im worrying too much?
Yep, but I can relate too all of those within the past few weeks.

Anyway, I probably am still over reacting, and now Im back at college thoughts of all this are going away as I get caught up in other things.
i think this tongue thing probably happens all the time, but as this one tiny raised taste bud is a little more forward than usual, its irritating the top of my mouth alot and when I swallow due to where it is.

No, I totally hear what you're saying, but the point is, I'll bet you there are way more than one disease on the net that, if you read the symptoms, you'd be able to relate to if you really thought about it. That's why the internet can be really misleading. You need to have a full history/physical/blood workup done to be able to determine what you have--reading a list of symptoms on the 'net doesn't cover it. Trust me, when I went through my first year of med school, I "knew" that I had stomach cancer because I had all the "symptoms"....of course, I was being ridiculous..this is what happens when one is hypervigilant. The doctors that teach us call it "medstudentitis"....if you're worried, go to the doctor and get some tests done...don't try to sit at home and diagnose yourself 'cause all you'll do is freak yourself out.

Thats very true and I totally accept what youre saying. I think if anything it'll come down to anxiety. My mom gets alot of anxiety, is on tablets for it same with anti-depressents as well.
Ive never experienced her when shes anxious because of the tablets etc. so i dont really know what to look for but these past few weeks Ive been really worried about my health, but Ive noticed as soon as I keep my mind off it suddenly everything seems normal.

I've noticed in other years over the summer when Ive had nothing to do (like this year) these things happen as I get bored and my mind starts to wander, but I'm back at college this week which I know for a fact can keep my mind well-occupied, plus Ive just got a new part time job.
